On June 4, 1973, the Handi-Shop opened its doors to provide employment opportunities for developmentally disabled individuals in the Mexico community.
On September 21. 2023 the Mexico community celebrated a major milestone with the staff and more than 50 individuals who work at the Handi-Shop.
Those who attended were able to enjoy food, play games, win prizes and take tours of the facility.
