Arrests:

Mexico Public Safety reports the arrest of 41-year-old Jason W. Moss for a Randolph County warrant on Thursday, November 23, 2023.

40-year-old Lester K. Fehling was arrested for Fourth Degree Assault on Thursday, November 23, 2023.

Calls for service:

Mexico Public Safety responded to the following calls for service over the Thanksgiving holiday starting on Wednesday, November 22, 2023:

  • Unwanted subject at 808 East Liberty and on South Washington.
  • Stealing or theft at 1535 East Liberty.
  • Shoplifting at 4820 South Clark.
  • Suspicious person on South Trinity and at South Jefferson.
  • Child abuse or neglect on Ringo.

Public Safety responded to the following calls on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 23, 2023:

  • Shots fired at North Wade and on Harwood.
  • Suspicious person at Hisey.
  • Fireworks on North Jefferson.
  • Fraud at Promenade.
  • Careless and imprudent driver at 3066 South Clark.
  • Animal abuse or neglect on South Coal.

Mexico Public Safety went to these calls on Friday, November 24, 2023:

  • Suspicious person at Mansfield.
  • Stealing or theft on North Olive and at 4820 South Clark.
  • Harassment on North Clark.
  • Property dispute at Tripoli.
  • Animal bite on West Monroe.
  • Property dispute at Fairground Road.
  • Careless and imprudent driver on Howell Manor Court/Calhoun.

Mexico Public Safety went to these calls on Saturday, November 25, 2023:

  • Peace disturbance at Springdale/Omar.
  • Suspicious person on West Orange/Washington and at North Olive.
  • Threats on South Olive.
  • Suspicious vehicle at South Clark and on Hendricks/Jefferson.
  • Unwanted subject at South Singleton.
  • Fight in progress on West Monroe.

Car accidents:

A two-car accident on Sunday, November 23, 2023. According to the Mexico Public Safety accident report it happened just before 7pm on Muldrow at Jackson. A vehicle driven by 30-year-old Benjamin Hancock of Mexico was in the turn lane and went to merge into the driving lane and collided with a vehicle driven by 37-year-old Jennifer Crum of Mexico.  No injuries were reported.

 

A two-car accident on South Clark at Boulevard on Saturday, November 25, 2023.  According to the Mexico Public Safety accident report it happened when a vehicle driven by 72-year-old John D. Sessler of Auxvasse attempted to turn into the westbound turning lane at Clark and Boulevard and did not see an approaching vehicle driven by 27-year-old Javon D. Morris of Mexico. Sessler’s vehicle drove into Morris’s lane of travel and a collision happened. No Injuries were reported.

 

A two-car accident in the 1700 block of South Clark on Wednesday, November 22, 2023. According to the Mexico Public Safety accident report it happened when a vehicle driven by 27-year-old Christian Almon of Mexico crossed the center line and struck a vehicle driven by 47-year-old Samuale Gebru of Hazelwood. Both vehicles were towed from the scene. No injuries were reported.
