The Missouri Tigers men’s basketball team is set to face the 2nd ranked Kansas Jayhawks tonight, renewing one of college basketball’s most storied rivalries.
The Tigers will be looking for their first win against Kansas since February 2012 and the team’s first victory at Allen Fieldhouse since 1999.
Tip-off for the Border Showdown is scheduled for 4:15 this (Saturday) afternoon.

In baseball news the St. Louis Cardinals announced yesterday (Friday) that they have traded outfielder Tyler O’Neill to the Boston Red Sox in exchange for two pitchers, Nick Robertson and Victor Santos.
Robertson will be added to the 40-man roster and be assigned to the minor leagues.
Santos, missed all of the 2023 season with arm discomfort.

The Norm Stewart Classic is continuing this weekend at Mizzou Arena.
Checking out some scores from Friday, it was the Helias girls over Fayette 76-31.
Hickman girls beat Grain Valley 56-44.
Hickman boys bested Principia 68-59.
The Mexico Bulldogs pushed their record to 6-0 with a 58-42 victory over Marion Kauffman.
The Mexico Lady Bulldogs fell to Osage 57-30.
Pembroke outlasted the Jefferson City boys 57-53.

The St. Louis Blues fell 5-2 to the Columbus Blue Jackets Friday night.
The Blues will have to shake off the disappointing loss quickly, traveling to see their rival Chicago Blackhawks tonight.
Puck drops at 7pm.

And in NFL news the Kansas City Chiefs will be without four of their starters, including running back Isiah Pacheco and left tackle Donovan Smith on offense, when they the Buffalo Bills tomorrow.
The Chiefs will also be without linebacker Drue Tranquill and safety Bryan Cook. Kansas City hopes it can activate starting linebacker Nick Bolton off injured reserve after he logged a full week of practice.
Kickoff tomorrow from Arrowhead is set for 3:25.
