Mexico High School Wrestling Results From 2023 Harrsionville Christmas Tournament

The Mexico High School boys wrestling team competed at the Harrisonville Christmas Tournament on Friday and Saturday.

Mexico freshman Carlos Juarez brought home a 5th place finish.

It was Watson Azdell coming in 7th place.

Grant Van Horn and Emille Scanavino secured third place finishes.

Mexico head wrestling coach Gayle Adams says “The Harrisonville Tournament is a tough tournament.

The team is getting better every weekend the young guys are starting to understand high school wrestling.

Carlos is freshman starts it off at 106 in the last 3 tournaments he’s placed 2nd twice and 5th, Grant Van Horn has a 1st, 2nd & a 3rd and Scanavino has 2nd and two 3rd place finishes.

Azdell is having a great start to the season.

Other freshman Kyler Carr and Brayden Arnold are winning some big matches also.

I’m proud of all the guys on varsity and Junior Varsity they are improving daily.”
