Boone Hospital To Be Independently-Operated
The Boone Hospital Board of Trustees announced today [Monday] that the hospital will remain independently operated.
The decision will give the hospital “flexibility to partner with local physicians and other healthcare providers to better address patients’ needs.”
In 2018, the hospital operated at a $13.5 million loss.
Talks of potentially partnering with University of Missouri Health Care ended in January of last year after a year and a half of unsuccessful negotiations.
