Mexico Public Safety Report For 2023 Christmas Holiday

Arrests:

Mexico Public Safety reports the following arrests over the 2023 Christmas Holiday.

29-year-old David N. Tate arrested on 12/22/2023 for a Shannon County warrant.

66-year-old Myrtle E. Robinson arrested 12/22/2023 for Resisting Arrest and a City of Mexico warrant.

24-year-old Jason L. Hagen arrested on 12/22/2023 for a City of Mexico warrant.

21-year-old Connor R. Kelsay arrested on 12/22/2023 for Third Degree Assault and DWI.

36-year-old Michael E. O’Connor arrested on 12/23/2023 for a Callaway County warrant.

28-year-old Zachary D. Branch arrested on 12/23/2023 for an Audrain County warrant.

18-year-old Delayne A. Jackson arrested on 12/24/2023 for a DWI.

37-year-old Christine M. Gilbert arrested on 12/24/2023 for Third Degree Domestic Assault.

33-year-old April L. Biggs on 12/24/2023 for a Gasconade County warrant.

55-year-old Jerry D. McDaniel arrested on 12/24/2023 for an Audrain County warrant.

Calls for service:

Mexico Public Safety responded to the following calls for service over the Christmas Holiday starting on Thursday, December 21, 2023:

• Shoplifting at West Monroe.
• Threats on North Clark and at MacFarlane.
• Driving without a valid license on West Monroe.
• Stealing or theft at Huntingfield Court.
• Careless and imprudent driver on East Promenade/Clark.
• Suspicious vehicle at West Liberty/South Abat.

Public Safety went to the following calls on Friday, December 22, 2023:

• Intoxicated person walking on South Clark/High.
• Unwanted subject at West Monroe.
• Stealing or theft on Cherry.
• Scam at Ringo and at Falcon Drive.
• Trespassing at 4820 South Clark and on West Jackson.
• Harassment at West Street.
• Careless and imprudent driver on South Clark/Monroe.

• Domestic physical incident at North Washington.
• Unwanted subject at West Monroe.
• Threats on Rock Springs Drive.
• Indecent behavior reported on South Kentucky.
• Suspicious person at West Jackson and on South Clark.
• A stolen vehicle reported at South Western.

Public Safety went to the following calls on Sunday, December 24, 2023.

• Domestic physical incident on East Holt.
• Domestic verbal incident at South Missouri.
• Stealing or theft at 4820 South Clark.
• Suspicious vehicle on North Kentucky.
• Suspicious person at Vance Road.
• Trespassing on Moreland Drive/Kentucky and at Robinhood and on Pleasant.
• Fireworks at Francis/Morris Street.

Mexico Public Safety responded to the following calls for service on Christmas Day Monday, December 35, 2023:

• Suspicious vehicle on Fairground Road.
• Fraud at Vance Road.
• Careless and imprudent driver on Fairground Road/Liberty.
• Vehicle break-in at Grove.

Car accidents:

A one-car accident on Thursday, December 21, 2023 at 1301 West Monroe at 1:03pm.

According to the Mexico Public Safety accident report it happened when a vehicle driven by 89-year-old Evelyn Gaskill of Mexico was attempting to turn into the driveway of 1301 West Monroe and miscalculated.

The vehicle went into the ditch just west of the driveway.

The vehicle was towed from the scene.

EMS attended to Gaskill. No injuries were reported.

 

A two-car-accident on Friday, December 22, 2023 at the South Clark Bridge.

According to the Mexico Public Safety accident report a vehicle driven by an unknown driver crossed over into the lane of a vehicle driven by 46-year-old Amy Davis of O’Fallon, Missouri and collided with Davis’s vehicle and then drove away.

No injuries were reported.

 

A two-car accident on Friday, December 22, 2023 on Northwestern at Love.

According to the Mexico Public Safety accident report it happened when a vehicle driven by 21-year-old Connor Kelsay of Mexico attempted to pass a vehicle driven by 74-year-old John Henry of Fulton and a collision happened.

Kelsay’s vehicle had a secondary collision and drove through the front yard of a residence.

No injuries were reported.
