The Mexico High School girls wrestling team put up some impressive results at the Capital City Girls Tournament on Friday, January 5th, 2024.
Alexus Johns secured a first place finish in the 235 pound division.
In the 135 pound division Abby Bowen earned 2nd place.
In the 170 pound division Karisa Hayden took 3rd place.
For the first time in almost two years after her hip surgery, junior Matty Tolbert wrestled and finished in 4th place.
Head coach Tony Senor says “Our girls showed a lot of fight and drive tonight. We looked impressive at Capital City.”
