Arrests:

Mexico Public Safety reports the arrest of 23-year-old Styles M. Fountain on Friday, February 16, 2024 for a Marion County warrant and a Christian County warrant.

Calls for service:

Mexico Public Safety responded to the following calls for service over the President’s Day holiday weekend staring on Friday, February 16, 2024:

  • Threats on Springdale Court/Omar.
  • Domestic verbal incident at 629 East Liberty.
  • Stealing or theft on North Washington and at West Jackson.
  • Public Safety went to these calls on Saturday, February 17, 2024:
  • Suspicious vehicle on Lowe Road.
  • Domestic physical incident at North Olive.
  • Suspicious activity on East Breckenridge.

Mexico Public Safety responded to the following calls on Sunday, February 18, 2024:

  • An assault without injury at South Morris Street.
  • Stolen vehicle reported on West Boulevard.
  • Fight in progress at South Kentucky/Promenade.
  • Property dispute on East Lafayette.
  • Vehicle break-in at West Monroe.

Public Safety went to these calls on President’s Day, Monday, February 19, 2024:

  • Natural gas odor on High/Western.
  • Suicidal subject at South Coal.
  • Domestic verbal incident on North Olive and at Huntingfield Drive/AP Green area, and on North Calhoun.
  • Fight in progress at Hisey.
  • Careless and imprudent driver on West Monroe/Casey’s.
  • Suspicious person at West Monroe.
  • Runaway juvenile on West Breckenridge and Cardinal.

Car accidents:

Mexico Public Safety responded to a one-car accident on South Western and Lakeview on Tuesday, February 20, 2024.

According to the Mexico Public Safety accident report it happened when a vehicle driven by 30-year-old Cody Durham of Mexico failed to stop at a stop sign at the intersection and struck a utility pole.

No injuries were reported.

The vehicle was towed from the scene.
