The Mexico High School Academic Team earned yet another tournament championship over the weekend.
Mexico A won the first annual March Academic Invitation in Nevada on Saturday, March 23, 2024.
Mexico A went in with a four person roster that included Camden Williams, Christian Frederickson, Andrew Peuster and Dylan Reid.
They kept the 101 game winning streak alive by sweeping through the preliminary round with wins over Fort Osage, KC St. Pius X, Lone Jack, Springfield Hillcrest and Fort Osage A.
Mexico A cruised through the playoff games.
The championship round was a showdown between two of the top ranked teams in the nation.
17th ranked Mexico A went head-to-head against 24th ranked Northmont A from Ohio.
Mexico came out on top running their current winning streak to 111 games.
