A Jefferson City teen is dead and four other people have serious injuries following a one-car accident in Callaway County during the early morning hours of Sunday, March 24, 2024.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol accident report it happened on US 63 southbound at County Road 399.
A vehicle went off the right side of the road, overcorrected and returned to the roadway, then slid sideways and hit the guard rail and overturned coming to rest on its top in the median.
The driver 19-year-old Demont L. Webb of Jefferson City was pronounced deceased on scene by the Boone Medical Examiner.
18-year-old Fiona E. Chanache, 24-year-old Devione J. Hallmon of Jefferson City had serious injuries.
19-year-old Melissa Carmichael of Jefferson City had serious injuries.
And 18-year-old Jassmine R. Carter of Jefferson City had moderate injuries.
