Arrests:

Mexico Public Safety reports the arrest of 35-year-old Travis E. Saylor for Second Degree Arson on Saturday, April 13, 2024.

36-year-old Floyd W. Dudley was arrested for an Audrain County warrant on Sunday, April 14, 2024.

Calls for service:

Mexico Public Safety responded to the following calls for service over the weekend starting on Friday, April 12, 2024:

  • Animal abuse or neglect on South Calhoun.
  • Structure fire at 802 West Liberty.

Public Safety went to these calls on Saturday, April 13, 2024:

  • Careless and imprudent driver on South Clark and on North Mississippi/Liberty.
  • Suspicious vehicle at Plunkett Park.
  • Threats on Lakeview Road.
  • Stealing or theft at 1636 East Liberty.
  • Shoplifting on West Monroe.
  • Scam at Omar and on Onie.
  • Harassment at Margretta.

Mexico Public Safety responded to the following calls on Sunday,  April 14, 2024.

  • Stolen vehicle reported on West Monroe.
  • Property damage on Carson.
  • Trespassing at 3066 South Clark.
  • Harassment on Rock Springs Drive and at Margretta.
  • Stealing or theft on Lakeside Place.
  • Careless and imprudent driver at Tyronn Lue Boulevard.

Car accidents:

No injuries reported in a two-car accident in Mexico on Saturday, April 13, 2024.

According to the Mexico Public Safety accident report it happened on South Western and Boulevard when a vehicle driven by 70-year-old Anthony Jessie of Jefferson City had the right of way and was making a left hand turn and was struck by a vehicle driven by 64-year-old Kelli Buffington of Mexico.
