Mexico Bulldogs Basketball End Of The Year Awards Announced
The Mexico Bulldogs boys basketball team announced end-of-the-year awards for varsity team members during the high school basketball banquet held at the Mexico High School Cafeteria on Sunday, April 21, 2024.
King of the Boards went to PJ Perkins.
PJ pulled down 265 total rebounds this season.
Aidan Knipfel was named 6th Man of the Year.
DJ Long was the Offensive Player of the Year.
DJ averaged 18.6 points per game and 5.8 assists per game.
The Sharp Shooter Award went to Charlie Fisher who shot 36% from behind the arc and made 31 total three’s on the season.
Holden Aulber was given the Most Improved Player Award.
The Class, Pride, Tradition Award went to Grant Broeker.
The D.A.W.G Award was given to Jaydon Eldridge.
D.A.W.G stands for determined athlete with grit.
Kaden Benne was named the Never Quit Award winner.
Mexico Bulldogs basketball team finished with a 27-3 record season and an elite eight appearance in the Class 4 State Tournament.
