Recapping Missouri FFA Convention 2024

Many area FFA chapters have brought received top awards at the Missouri State FFA Convention that took place in Columbia last week.

Recapping the event the Centralia FFA Chapter earned first place chapter in the State honors.

Jaden Decker placed 1st in the Agriscience Fair in Division 3 Animal Science.

Chapter members Tess Stephens, Abby Asbury, Michael Marcellus, and Will Hayden placed second in the MO Soy Innovation Challenge.

The Mexico FFA Chapter Farm Management team received a Gold rating and ranked 10th in the state.

Nick Van Schyndel earned Area 4 Star in Agribusiness.

Wyatt Troesser, Jack Norfleet, Cameron Beasely, Nick Van Schyndel, Tristan Salmons, and Nick Haines all received their State Degree.

The Audrain County R-VI FFA Chapter 2024 State CHAMPIONS Nursery/Landscaping Team was recognized on stage on Friday, April 19, 2024.

  • Kate Robnett – 8th
  • Lydia Hoyt – 10th

Silver Emblem National Chapter Award (top 15% of chapters in MO)

The Audrain County R-VI FFA Chapter Ag Sales Team earned a 10th place finish.

Pacey Cope was a State Winner in Vegetable Production. Tucker Robnett earned a 2nd place State finish in Diversified Ag.

Callie Jennings was a 2nd place State finisher in Ag Sales Entrepreneurship. State Finalists/Area Winners included Lane Carter in Grain Production,

Mason Rohan in Landscape Management.

Clayton Jennings in Swine Production Entrepreneurship.

Olivia Schafer in Fruit Production.

Chloe Campbell in Specialty Animal Production.

 


Paris FFA adviser Josh Bondy is the first recipient of the new Golden Owl Award established by the Missouri FFA Foundation and presented by Nationwide insurance.

The award recognized Bondy for his years of mentoring and developing ag leaders.

Bondy was awarded $3,000 at the 96th Missouri FFA Convention that took place in Columbia last week April 17th through 19th.
