Mexico High Academic Team Takes Second Place In State Tournament

The Mexico High Academic Team earned a second place finish in the Final Four of the State Tournament held in Columbia on Saturday, May 4, 2024.

Mexico was making a second consecutive appearance in the Final Four and competed against Priory, Jefferson City and Rockhurst.

Mexico hit the ground running and won all three round robin games, including a win against eventual State Champion Priory.

Mexico lost to Priory 460-240 in the championship game.

The Mexico High Academic Team invites the community to come celebrate their 2nd place State Tournament finish during an academic trivia night at the Mexico High School on Saturday, May 11, 2024.

The team will be raising money during the trivia night to help pay for a trip to compete in Nationals.
