Truck Catches Fire Following Accident In Audrain County West Of Vandalia
An Audrain County road was closed following a tractor-trailer accident during the afternoon hours of Friday, May 10, 2024.
According to the Missouri Highway Patrol accident report, the crash happened on Route P west of Vandalia and west of County Road 557 at 11am.
The truck traveled off the right side of the roadway, struck a bridge, and went partially into a creek and caught fire.
The tractor portion was on fire, and fuel was spilling from the tanks.
The truck was carrying a load of solar panels.
40-year-old Hector A. Osorio Lopez had minor injuries and was taken to University Hospital by ambulance.
