Followed by Jocelyn Curtis with 13 points and 7 rebounds. Kat Meyer had 6 points. Aliyah Welch with 2 points.

And rounding out the scoring book was Chloe Johnson with 1 point.

Community head coach Bob Curtis says “All season the Lady Trojans have been playing smothering defense that has held opponents under their average for the season.

Friday night vs the Bulldogs was no different.

This game and season our team has really bought into our defensive schemes holding opponents under 30 pts. a game.

This was the 9th opponent this year to not reach 30 pts. in our game with them.

The girls love it and it drives them to work hard for 32 minutes.

New Franklin has a great team and one of the best players in the area in Lily Chitwood.

Our first meeting with them they shot the ball extremely well with 8 different people scoring.

They shot the 3 well and got away from us.

We came in with a different defense concept and executed it extremely well.

Jocelyn Curtis had a big game in the post for the second game in a row and went 5-8 at the free-throw line for 13 pts.

Peyton Beamer also had a stellar game with 15 pts. in the 2nd half hitting 3 three’s and going 4-4 at the FT Line.

Peyton’s play in the second half was really good, she saw the floor well getting her teammates involved and when they had to foul down the stretch to stop the clock she made her free throws.

Kat Meyer also went 3-3 at the line in the final frame in the win.”

The Lady Trojans won their third consecutive game and improved their overall record to 12-3.
