Three dogs and one cat now have homes thanks to adoptions that took place at the Mexico Animal Shelter’s be kind to animals open house. The event took place at the animal shelter on Saturday, May 7th.
Mexico High will celebrate graduation on Friday, May 16th. At Mexico, some 200 kids are expected to walk across the stage this evening at Hawthorne Heights. MHS High School principal Brad Ellebracht says the school is ready. Commencement gets underway at 7:30pm.
The Mexico City Council was in session last night. Mexico City Councilman Chris Miller joined AM 1340 and the Am I Awake Morning Show today to provide an update. Miller says the city recently received state recognition for an innovative street project.
It is National Farm Safety Week. Road safety is something to be aware of. Be patient with the farmers who need to use the roads. Other areas of concern are: grain bin safety, tractor and ATV rollovers. But vehicle collisions are most frequent.
