Mexico Public Safety reports the arrest of 62-year-old Rodney J. Botz for Fourth Degree Assault on Wednesday, May 22, 2024.

Mexico Public Safety Department responded to the following calls for service on Wednesday, May 22, 2024.
- Suspicious noise on East Vine and at West Boulevard.
- Suspicious person on Fairground Road and at South Missouri.
- Suspicious vehicle on North Jefferson.
- Property damage at West Breckenridge.
- Trespassing on South Olive and at North Olive.
- Fraud on Fairleigh Court.
- Threats at North Jefferson.
- Child abuse or neglect at 4820 South Clark.
No injuries reported following a one-car accident in Walmart parking lot during the afternoon hours of Wednesday, May 22, 2024.
According to the Mexico Public Safety accident report it happened when a vehicle driven by 69-year-old Deborah Snyder of Laddonia made a left turn into a stop sign in a concrete pole.
The vehicle had damage to the left front corner and bumper and was towed from the scene.
