Mexico, MO native and LA Clippers coach Ty Lue has signed a new deal through the 2028-2029 season that will make him one of the NBA’s highest-paid coaches at about $14 million per year.
The Clippers announced the deal on Wednesday, May 29, 2024.
Lue had one year left on his contract, and has gone 184-134 in four seasons with the Clippers, which is the sixth best in the NBA in that stretch according to ESPN Stats and Information.
Coach Lue won the 2016 NBA championship with Cleveland Cavaliers and has established himself as one of the league’s most respected and sought-after coaches.

The St. Louis Cardinals defeated the Cincinnati Reds 5-3 at Great American Ballpark on Wednesday, May 29, 2024.
