Power Outages And Downed Power Lines In Mexico And Fulton After Tuesday Night Storm

Hundreds of people were without power in Audrain County and the Mexico area after storms entered the area during the evening hours of Tuesday, June 26, 2024.

Audrain County had a total of 965 customers without power with 743 Ameren customers and 22 Consolidated Electric customers with no power during the outage’s peak.

Debris from trees was reported in Mexico as well as a downed power line on West Anderson.

And a Flash Flood Warning was issued for Northeastern Audrain County and in Southeastern Monroe County as well as Southwestern Ralls County and Southwestern Pike County.

Temperatures dropped around about 30 degrees in a matter of minutes as storms rolled through bringing close to three inches of rain in a short period of time as well as up to 60 mile-per hour winds.

The Fulton Police Department reported numerous trees down on its Facebook page, as well as power lines.

Utility lines were reported down in the 800 block of Center Street and at Tennyson and Southwinds.

A tree was also reported down at Jeff City Road and Cote Sans Dessein.

Another tree reported down in the 800 block of Court Street and a possible utility line down on Bluff near Hornet.
