Arrests Made In Connection To Hannibal Church Burglary

Two juveniles and one adult have been arrested for a church burglary in Hannibal.

According to the Hannibal Police Department an arrest warrant was issued by the 10th Judicial Circuit Court of Marion County for 19-year-old Caleb S. Nelson of Hannibal for charges of accessory to burglary on Tuesday, July 16, 2024.

The charges stem from an incident that began on Monday morning in the 500 block of Munger in Hannibal where an area church had discovered their building had been ransacked and items were missing.

In less than two hours of the initial report Hannibal police officers took two juveniles and Nelson into custody in the 4000 block of Green Meadows.

According to Hannibal Police a search warrant was conducted where the juveniles and Nelson were found.

And items from the church as well as items from local vehicle break-ins had been recovered.

Nelson remains in the Marion County Jail.
