Two Mexico Women Arrested After Incident With Mexico Public Safety Department Officers

Two Mexico woman are facing charges after an arrest on Tuesday, July 30, 2024.
Mexico Public Safety Department responded to the 200 block of West Love around 3:51 on Tuesday afternoon in reference to an unwanted person at an address.
According to the press release while officers were at the residence, 31-year-old Jessica H. Andregg ran from the home while carrying a backpack.
Officers chased her on foot for about a block before catching her.
As officers were struggling with her to put her in handcuffs, 57-year-old Tammy L. Andregg allegedly approached the group against officers’ order and had to be pushed away while Jessica Andregg was attempting to hand her the backpack.
Mexico Public Safety says the backpack was later determined to contain drug paraphernalia.
Jessica Andregg was taken to the Audrain County Jail for a Probation and Parole violation warrant, Resisting Arrest, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
Tammy Andregg was taken to the Audrain County Jail for Interfering with Arrest.
There were no injuries from the incident.
