Leadership in Audrain County is looking at what options are available next for the hospital in Mexico.
Last week the announcement was made that SSM and MU Healthcare will be ending exclusive negotiations for transfer of ownership for hospitals in Mexico and Jefferson City effective next month.
Audrain County Presiding Commissioner Steve Hobbs says they will not even contemplate not having a hospital in Mexico.
Hobbs says the community needs a strong viable hospital in Mexico.
