The Community R6 Lady Trojans softball team punched their ticket to a district championship game, after defeating North Shelby 10-6 Class 1 District 4 semifinals held in Laddonia on Saturday, October 19, 2024.
The Lady Trojans took a 1-0 lead in the first inning.
North Shelby would tie the game in the third inning.
North Shelby would take the lead in the top of the sixth inning scoring three runs.
Community would answer back with six runs in the bottom of the sixth.
The Lady Trojans added three more runs in the in the sixth inning.
Braelyn Kuda hit a dinger for the Lady Trojans.
Peyton Schafer and Amy McCurdy had three hits each.
Schafer, Jocelyn Curtis and Lydia Hoyt recorded one RBI each respectively.
Jocelyn Curtis pitched seven innings and struck out seven batters.
