Arrests:

Mexico Public Safety reports the arrest of 61-year-old Raymond G. Head on an Audrain County warrant on Saturday, November 9, 2024.

18-year-old Malachi Whitley was arrested for Domestic Assault and Violation of Bond Conditions on Saturday, November 9, 2024.

29-year-old Linkon H. Rickard was arrested on an Parole and Probation arrest warrant out of Pike County on Sunday, November 10, 2024.

Calls for service:

Mexico Public Safety responded to the following calls for service over the Veterans Day holiday weekend starting on Friday, November 8, 2024:

  • Harassment on North Wade.
  • Animal abuse or neglect at Rock Springs Drive.
  • Shoplifting at 4820 South Clark.
  • Unlawful ATV operation on Fairground Road/Buchanan.
  • Careless and Imprudent Driver at West Monroe.
  • Suspicious vehicle at Robert S. Green Park.

Public Safety went to the following calls on Saturday, November 9, 2024:

  • Domestic verbal incident on East Love/Woodlawn.
  • Shots fired reported at Sannebeck Drive/Franklin Avenue.
  • Animal abuse or neglect on West Breckenridge.
  • Unwanted subject at North Washington.
  • Shoplifting at 4820 South Clark and at 1101 West Monroe.
  • Threats on Venus.
  • Fraud at West Monroe.
  • Domestic verbal incident on Neptune.
  • Stealing or theft at Carrico.

Mexico Public Safety responded to these calls on Sunday, November 10, 2024:

  • Stealing or theft on North Western and at South Western.
  • Careless and imprudent driver on West Monroe.
  • Harassment at West Jackson and at East Central.
  • Domestic physical incident on South Coal.
  • Suspicious activity on Adams Street.
  • Shoplifting at 4820 South Clark.

Public Safety went to these calls on Monday, November 11, 2024:

  • Scam on East Anderson.
  • Suspicious person at West Anderson.
  • Assault without injury at the Hassen apartment building.
  • Property damage at 3066 South Clark.
  • Suspicious person on Redwood Drive/Cherry Tree Drive.
  • Unwanted subject at West Monroe and on West Jackson.
  • A fight in progress at West Monroe.

 

Car accidents:

No injuries reported following a two-car accident in the 1100 block of Elmwood Drive on Monday, November 11, 2024. According to the Mexico Public Safety accident report it happened when a vehicle driven by 42-year-old Jerry Crum of Mexico of Martinsburg was backing from Elmwood Drive into a private lot. A vehicle driven by 51-year-old Michael Niekamp swerved to avoid hitting Crum’s vehicle and a collision happened. Minor damage was reported to both vehicles.

 

Mexico Public Safety responded to a two-car accident on Muldrow at Liberty on Sunday, November 11, 2024. According to the Mexico Public Safety accident report it happened when a vehicle driven by 64-year-old Breta Carpenter of Mexico, struck the driver’s side of a vehicle driven by 19-year-old Brian Hill of Mexico. No injuries were reported. Both vehicles were towed from the scene.

 

Mexico Public Safety responded to a motorcycle accident on Saturday, November 10, 2024. According to the Mexico Public Safety accident report it happened when a 2024 Kawasaki z-900 driven by 23-year-old Noah Lee of Mexico, pulled onto South Clark from Green Estates Park and laid his motorcycle down. No injuries were reported.

 

Mexico Public Safety responded to a two-car accident on Friday, November 8, 2024. According to the accident report it happened on Clark at Promenade. A vehicle driven by 37-year-old Dustin Tinker of Thompson was stopped at a stop sign and was rear-ended by a vehicle driven by 57-year-old James Williams Jr. of Mexico. No injuries were reported.
