The number of area high school football  teams still alive in the State playoffs is decreasing after a number of games were played on Friday, November 15, 2024.

Starting off in Class 1 Tipton beat Salisbury 42-6.

Harrisburg defeated Westran 14-10.

Tipton will now meet Harrisburg for the Class 1 District 2 Championship next week.

Bowling Green claimed the Class 2 District 2 Championship by outlasting Hermann 28-20.

Father Tolton had their season ended with an 82-41 loss to Lafayette County.

South Shelby eked out a 6-0 win over Monroe City to claim the Class 2, District 7 title.

Brookfield lost 26-14 to Mid-Buchanan.

Hallsville is moving on after going into Moberly and beating the Spartans 37-35 in the Class 3 District 3 Championship game.

Blair Oaks took down Boonville 49-6.

Helias advanced after beating Lebanon 30-18.

Rock Bridge handled Troy Buchanan in a 43-19 victory.

In 8-man football the Paris Coyotes had their season come to an end with a 58-26 loss to North Shelby.

The University of Missouri women’s basketball defeated Western Illinois 75-55 on the road last (Friday) night.

Sophomore Grace Slaughter contributed 14 points with two triples and grabbed six boards.

The 24th ranked Missouri Tigers football team will be on the road playing the 23rd ranked South Carolina Gamecocks this (Saturday) afternoon. Kickoff is set for 3:15.

YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul defeated former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson by unanimous decision in their highly anticipated professional bout night in Arlington, Texas on Friday, November 15, 2024.

72,300 fans witnessed the bout, at AT&T Stadium, the home of the Dallas Cowboys.
