The nationally ranked Mexico High Academic team claimed first place in the 2024 Missouri Quiz Bowl Association Fall Championship at Columbia College (MOQBA) on Saturday, November 23, 2024.
Mexico High A ranked eighth in the nation, went 11-0 on the day.
Mexico High senior Camden Williams was the top scorer.
And Bulldogs senior Andrew Peuster was the #6 top scorer.
The Bulldogs defeated several nationally ranked teams in Washington, Parkway West, New Heights (Joplin) to claim their second consecutive MOQBA championship.
The Mexico High Academic B team went 4-5.
They were led in scoring by AJ Leon and Jude Yancey.
Other members of the B team included sophomores Ash Lee and Robbie Lopez and freshmen Elliott De Vargas, Trey Steeleman, Myles Yancey and Aaron Iman
