Arrests:

Mexico Public Safety reports the arrest of 57-year-old Rick L. Pratt on Friday, for a DWI.

45-year-old Richard A. Lovell was arrested on an Audrain County warrant and for Resisting Arrest on Sunday, November 24, 2024.

Calls for service:

Mexico Public Safety responded to the following calls for service over the weekend starting on Friday, November 22. 2024:

  • Suspicious person on Emmons and at North Washington/Love Street.
  • Vehicle break-in at Park.
  • Harassment on North Mississippi.
  • Threats at Summit.
  • Careless and Imprudent Driver on East Boulevard/South Clark.
  • Property damage at Marine Drive.
  • Shoplifting at 4820 South Clark.
  • Trespassing on West Monroe.
  • Unwanted subject at West Street.

Public Safety went to these calls for service on Saturday, November 23, 2024:

  • Domestic verbal incident on East Bolivar.
  • Suspicious person at South Elmwood Drive.
  • Harassment on West Breckenridge.
  • Domestic physical incident at Mansfield/Morris.

Mexico Public Safety responded to the following calls for service on Sunday, November 24, 2024:

  • Unwanted subject on West Monroe.
  • Animal abuse/neglect at North Stewart.

Car accidents:

Mexico Public Safety responded to a two-car accident at 2603 Amelia Street on Saturday, November 23, 2024.

According to the Mexico Public Safety accident report, 70-year-old Betty L. Blakely of Mexico stated while backing out of her driveway a Nissan struck her parked vehicle.

Mexico Public Safety contacted the owner of the Nissan, 24-year-old Shannon R. Johnson of Columbia who returned to the scene.

Both vehicle showed minor damage and no injuries were reported.
