Audrain County Man Sentenced In Randolph County For Alleged Child Sex Crimes
An Audrain County man facing alleged sex crimes in multiple cases has been sentenced to five years in prison after pleading guilty in one of those cases in Randolph County on Thursday, January 9, 2025.
William Dahl was charged with statutory rape, statutory sodomy and child molestation in 2022.
He entered an Alford plea to one count of statutory rape.
The Alford plea is when a defendant enters a guilty plea but maintains their innocence.
In June 2023, Dahl was sentenced in federal court to 50 years in prison for producing and receiving child pornography.
The victims in those cases ranged from 7 to 14 years old.
Dahl still has five pending cases involving alleged child sex crimes in Audrain County.
Those cases have been scheduled for a review hearing on March 10, 2025.
