The Mexico Lady Bulldogs defeated the Moberly Lady Spartans 58-43 in the first round of the Class 4 District 8 Tournament hosted at the Mexico High School on Tuesday, Mar. 4, 2025.
The Lady Bulldogs had a slow start and trailed most of the first half.
Mexico went into halftime down by four.
A strong second half powered the Lady Bulldogs to a fourth victory over the Lady Spartans this season.
Senior McKenzie Taylor put the icing on the cake by hitting her first varsity career three pointer as time expired.
Alyssa Miller led the Lady Bulldogs offense with 14 points.
Claire Hudson put a triple-double and finished with 12 points.
With the win Mexico advances to play Fulton in the semifinals of the District Tournament.
The game will be played at the Mexico High School on Thursday, March 6th, with a 7:15pm tip.
