The Mexico Bulldogs lost 27-0 to the Centralia Panthers in the Highway 22 rivalry on Friday night.

Centralia’s offense put up 278 yards on 47 plays.

Including a 61-yard touchdown pass from senior quarterback Cullen Bennett on the first play of the game.

Mexico’s Tyson Carr recorded an interception in the second half.

The Bulldogs rushed for 162 yards on 59 plays.

Mexico falls to 0-1 and will play their first home game of the season against Southern Boone next Friday, September 1 at Hawthorne Heights.

Bowling Green dominated Louisiana 54-18.

South Callaway by a touchdown 21-14 over Van-Far.

Capital City beat Warrensburg 41-29.

Chillicothe outlasted Marshall 19-13.

Hallsville 46-6 winners over Palmyra.

Monroe City defeated Mark Twain 32-16.

Montgomery County came out on top against Hermann 27-21.

In NFL preseason football today (Saturday) the Kansas City Chiefs host the Cleveland Browns. Kickoff in Kansas City is at noon.

Major League Baseball last (Friday) night the St. Louis Cardinals dropped their series opener 7-2 to the Philadelphia Phillies.

Paul Goldschmidt hit a two-run home run, however that was all the offense the Redbirds could muster.

The Kansas City Royals lost 7-5 to the Seattle Mariners.
