Hundreds Lose Power In Early Morning Outage In Mexico Area
Hundreds of people lost power in Mexico during the morning hours of Wednesday, Mar. 5, 2025.
The power at the KXEO/KWWR radio station on East Liberty went out at 6:07am and was restored around 6:28am.
Audrain County Joint Communications received reports of power outages on the east side of town at Agricultural and Liberty, as well as on the north part of town on North Jefferson.
A listener reported an outage on Love Street at Pizza Hut.
The Ameren Outage showed over 1,000 people without power earlier.
The cause of the outage is unknown, however, is thought to be wind related.
A high wind warning is in effect until 6pm tonight (Wednesday) as wind gusts as high as 50 miles is predicted.
