The Missouri State Highway Patrol has taken over a death investigation from Pike County.
According to a press release sent on Wednesday, Mar. 12, 2025, the Patrol wrote that the Pike County Sheriff’s Office received a missing person’s report for 23-year-old Nathaniel Mueller, of Hannibal on Dec. 21, 2024.
Mueller’s remains were found on Feb. 28, 2025, in rural Pike County.
On March 3, the Pike County Sheriff’s Office requested that the Missouri State Highway Patrol Division of Drug and Crime Control to take over the investigation.
The Patrol asks that anyone with information related to the case to call Troop C headquarters at 636-300-2800.
