A Moberly man is charged with Promoting A Sexual Performance By A Child following an alleged inappropriate video call.
According to the probable cause statement, the juvenile victim told the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office that 18-year-old Xavier M. Burke, asked them to expose their genitals on Google Meet on March 10, 2025.
The minor claimed he initiated the video call and asked them to perform sexual activities.
According to the probable cause statement, the victim initially refused the request, but Burke allegedly threatened to spread rumors about the victim and claimed to know where they lived.
The victim stated that the threats made them fearful so they performed the requested acts.
Deputies said that Burke also allegedly exposed himself on the video call.
The probable cause statement reads in a post-Miranda interview, Burke admitted to law enforcement that he had seen the victim’s genitals but claimed that he did not threaten them for the performance.
