After failing to reach a new agreement with MU Health Care by the March 31st deadline, Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield says it is working with other mid-Missouri health care providers, including Boone Hospital, SSM St. Mary’s, Moberly Regional Hospital and Jefferson City Medical Group.
Several of those hospitals say they have recently received an influx of calls about Anthem insurance.
Boone Hospital says it has established a new phone line of 573-815-3000 for insurance questions after receiving increasing calls and emails.

MU Healthcare announced on Monday, that starting on April 1st their more than 1,200 providers, 80 clinics and seven hospitals would be removed from Anthem, Blue Cross Blue Shield and HealthLink commercial plans that patients get through their employer or the Affordable Care Act. marketplace.
