Callaway County Sheriff’s Deputies Arrest Man Wanted On Felony Charges Out Of Boone County

The following press release is from the Callaway County Sheriff’s Department.

Deputies actively search for wanted fugitives daily, however due to inquires from citizens a press release has been attached below regarding this arrest on April 5, 2025 in Fulton.
On April 5, 2025, at approximately 12:04 PM, Callaway County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a residence in the 100 block of Schultze to arrest a fugitive, Terence Hartmann.
A Boone County felony no-bond warrant had been issued for Hartmann’s arrest for Domestic Assault 2nd, Stalking 1st Degree, and Kidnapping 2nd Degree.
Upon arrival, deputies gathered information that Hartmann was hiding in the basement of the residence.
Deputies initiated verbal commands over the vehicle PA system, ordering Hartmann to exit the home.
Announcements continued for approximately 25 minutes with no response from Hartmann.
Deputies then made entry into the residence to search for Hartmann.
He was not located on the main floor.
As deputies approached the stairway to the basement, they again issued verbal commands for approximately 15 minutes, clearly stating that Hartmann was under arrest needed to surrender.
After repeated efforts, a warning indicting that a Sheriff’s Office K9 would be deployed into the basement if Hartmann failed to respond.
Moments later, Hartmann announced his presence and surrendered to deputies without further incident.
Hartmann was taken into custody and later transported to the Callaway County Jail to await transfer to Boone County authorities.
