Drunk Driving Fugitive Caught
A Mexico man on the run from the law for nearly a year is behind bars accused of causing a serious drunk driving accident.
27-year-old Dayton Cates skipped a court apperance last October and was on the run until Thursday. The drunk driving accident he’s accused of caused injury, and prosecutors say not only was his driving reckless and imprudent, but he didn’t have insurance to cover medical bills of people injured in the wreck.
Cates is still in the county jail, and the bail amount to get him out is $5,000. A new court date for him is still being scheduled.
