Fire damages Livestock Sale Barn
Traffic blocked for nearly three hours this morning on East Liberty in Mexico as Mexico Public safety fought a fire at the Midwest Exchange Regional Stockyards in Mexico.
The first call came in about 8:40am, and crews were on scene in minutes with smoke showing from the front of the structure.
Liberty Street opened back up to through traffic just before noon.
No reports on damage which appeared to be contained to the western part of the facility.
KXEO-KWWR hopes to have word later today on whether or not the sale barn will be open for tomorrow’s weekly sale.
