Teen wanted in Jefferson City August shooting
Jefferson City Police have issued a warrant for 17-year-old Daniel M. Day in connection with a shots-fired incident that happened in Jefferson City back in August.
Officers were called to the 300 block of Benton Street on August 20th, where they found several shell casings.
A white BMW with bullet holes was discovered nearby, and the driver told police he heard gunfire after an argument.
Court documents say a witness later drove Day from the scene and that police recovered a .40caliber Glock at his home that matched bullets found at the site.
Day is charged with First-Degree Assault, Unlawful Use of a Weapon, and two counts of Armed Criminal Action.
