In Mexico Highschool Basketball last night
#5 Mexico held on for another close NCMC win Thursday night, 55-53 over Hannibal.
MHS led by as many as seven in the game, but the final quarter was a back and forth affair with neither team leading by more than four.
Mexico was led by 22 points from Brady Thoenen and 16 from Charlie Fischer
Mexico head coach Darren Pappas said one of the reasons the game was close was because the Pirates strength inside:

With the win, the Dawgs extended their winning streak over Hannibal to 15 straight games and are now 6-2 on the year. Hannibal fell to 1-6.
In the Girls game, Scotty Smith got her offensive game going for Mexico as she paced three Lady Bulldogs in double digits in a 58-42 over Hannibal. Alyssa Miller added 14 points while Grace Hudson scored 10.
Mexico blew open a close game in the fourth outscoring the Lady Pirates 24-10. MHS moved to 3-4 on the year, while Hannibal fell to 3-4.

The Seattle Seahawks defeated the Los Angeles Rams 38-37 in overtime, This thrilling comeback victory clinched a playoff spot for Seattle and moved them into first place in the NFC West.
The Rams built a seemingly secure 30-14 lead in the fourth quarter, However their offense went cold, special teams melted down, and the defense allowed the furious comeback.
Seattle’s rally was sparked by a 58-yard punt return touchdown by Rashid Shaheed and a series of successful, unconventional two-point conversions, including a fluky one where a deflected backward pass was recovered in the end zone to tie the game at 30-30 late in regulation.
