A death investigation is underway in Columbia following the discovery of a body
Columbia police are investigating after a body was found Thursday near Vandiver Drive and Paris Road.
Witnesses say the body was discovered that morning on a pile of snow between a UPS facility and the Boone Health EMS dispatch center.
The Columbia Fire Department says crews were called to the scene around 11 a.m. for what they described as an unknown situation.
Police spokesperson Colin Imhoff reportedly confirmed only that a death investigation is underway.
No further details have been released.
