James Lamont Caldwell Jr., is set to be arraigned this afternoon at 1:30pm in the Boone County Courthouse on new charges from a Boone County grand jury.
The 24-year-old Columbia man now faces first-degree murder, two counts of first-degree assault, and three counts of armed criminal action in the Jan. 4 incident that left 21-year-old Brianna N. Hawkins of Fulton dead and two others critically injured in a January shooting at The Greens apartment complex on Clark Lane.
Police say video shows a person chasing another while gunfire erupts, and witnesses identified Caldwell as responsible.
Caldwell, who was taken into custody at the scene, reportedly told investigators he didn’t remember the events and had taken Xanax.
