National Guard Deployed To Mexican Border
Four members of the Missouri Army National Guard were deployed today [Tuesday] to the southern border in support of Operation Guardian Support.
Governor Eric Greitens was on hand for their departure.
In addition to the soldiers, Greitens also authorized a helicopter.
The National Guard Members will be in a support role, and not conducting law enforcement missions. They will be assigned to provide aerial surveillance.
They are expected to return by mid-summer.
