Three Teens Indicted in Deadly Facebook Marketplace Robbery

A Boone County grand jury has indicted three 18-year-olds in connection with the fatal shooting of Michael Ryan Burke during an alleged Facebook Marketplace robbery scheme.

Prosecutors say Kobe Aust, Alexis Baumann, and Joseph Crane each face charges of second-degree murder, first-degree robbery, and two counts of armed criminal action.

Investigators believe the group was stealing phones around Columbia, leading to the deadly shooting at Burke’s home on January 18.

A juvenile accused of firing the fatal shot is also charged and will face an adult certification hearing in April.

Aust and Crane had Arraignment in court yesterday, while Baumann’s arraignment is set for March 30.
