Fulton Man Arrested After Traffic Stop Leads to Drug Investigation


A Monday afternoon traffic stop in Callaway County traffic has resulted in the arrest of a Fulton man, after he allegedly admitted to having illegal substances at his residence.

Callaway County deputies initiated a traffic stop on State Road F, near State Road KK, about 4:20pm Monday, for a vehicle with an illegal window tint and speeding 70 miles per hour in a 45 mile per hour zone.

35-year-old Ronnie Joewett Lee Jr., was arrested and charged with Deliver Controlled Substance Except 35 Grams Or Less Of Marijuana Or Synthetic Cannabinoid, Resisting Arrest, Unlawful Possession Of Drug Paraphernalia.

According to court documents, law enforcement had been investigating Lee over the last several months for cocaine and methamphetamine distribution. Lee admitted to Deputies that he had two ounces of cocaine and half an ounce of meth inside his residence in Fulton.

During a search of the residence, deputies found 14 grams of meth and a digital scale with meth and cocaine residue.
Court documents noted that the alleged two ounces of cocaine was not located.

Lee also admitted to frequently traveling to Columbia to purchase “quarter pounds” of meth, ounces of cocaine, and grams of fentanyl.
Lee was booked into Callaway County Jail and is being held without bond.
