A Cole County grand jury has updated charges against a Jefferson City man accused of a February shooting on East Cedar Way.
The new indictment charges 26-year-old David Jarrett with unlawful use of a weapon, first-degree endangering the welfare of a child, first-degree assault, and resisting arrest.
Police say Jarrett shot a 37-year-old man after an argument inside an apartment, with a baby reportedly in the room at the time.
Investigators say Jarrett fled with his one-year-old son before officers stopped and arrested him.
He remains charged in connection with the incident.
