Missouri Dept. of Revenue Warns of New Phishing Text Scam

The Missouri Department of Revenue is warning residents to watch out for a new wave of phishing text scams.

The agency says fake messages are circulating that appear to come from the Department of Revenue or the DMV, claiming you owe fines, tolls, or other fees.

Some even threaten to suspend your driver’s license or vehicle registration if you don’t pay.

Officials say the department never asks for money by text.

If you get one of these messages don’t click any links, don’t reply, and delete it right away.
