Former MU Professor Wins Nobel Prize
A former professor at the University of Missouri found out early this morning [Wednesday] that he is a recipient of a Nobel Prize for chemistry.
George P. Smith was a professor at the University for 40 years in the Division of Biological Sciences.
Smith, along Gregory Winter in Cambridge, England will share half of the $1.1 million award.
Smith was instrumental in developing a new way to evolve proteins.
