Fulton police release name of man that drowned

The Fulton Police Department has released the name of the person that drowned early Thursday morning at Morningside Lake in Fulton. The man was identified as 39-year-olf Wallace Jerome Franklin Jr, of Fulton, MO.

Authorities were unable to locate anyone upon arrival at the Lake Thursday morning, after receiving a call for a person in the water yelling for help.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol was called and searched the waters before finding the victim deceased.
