A Moberly firefighter was taken to the hospital with minor injuries while battling a house fire Thursday morning.
Crews were called to the 300 block of Taylor Street, where they found heavy fire and smoke coming from the second floor and attic.
The family inside made it out safely.
An interior search was conducted, but due to fire conditions, firefighters were unable to access the second floor immediately, according to the post.
Firefighters had to enter through a second-floor window and say modifications to the home made it difficult to reach all fire-involved areas.
The house sustained heavy fire and smoke damage.
The cause of the blaze is still under investigation
